Lard – Rendered pork fat that has been used in traditional soapmaking for generations. Lard produces a firm, long-lasting bar with a mild, creamy, stable lather. It shares many soapmaking qualities with palm oil, making it a great alternative in our recipes. All of our lard comes from local farmers and is rendered right here on our farm. It really does make a wonderful bar of soap!

Tallow – Rendered beef fat that has also been used in soapmaking for centuries. Tallow contributes hardness, longevity, and a rich, creamy lather to handmade soap. Like our lard, the beef fat comes from local farmers and is rendered right here on our farm whenever possible.
