Since 2013, my husband, James, and I have operated Silver Valley Farms. My journey into soap-making began with curiosity about what goes into the products we use every day. After doing some research, I made a surprising discovery: the soap I’d been buying at the store wasn’t really soap at all — it was detergent! Before I poured my very first soap loaf, I became passionate about learning everything I could to craft soaps using natural ingredients that are good for your skin. Cold process soap-making satisfies many of my interests. It blends creativity with science, art with practicality. Best of all, it allows me to create something I can both keep and share.
