My name is Jamie. Since 2013, my husband, James, and I have operated Silver Valley Farms. My journey into soap-making began with curiosity about what goes into the products we use every day. After doing some research, I made a surprising discovery: the soap I’d been buying at the store wasn’t really soap at all — it was detergent! Before I poured my very first soap loaf, I became passionate about learning everything I could to craft soaps using natural ingredients that are good for your skin. Cold process soap-making satisfies many of my interests. It blends creativity with science, art with practicality. Best of all, it allows me to create something I can both keep and share. Farmgirl Crafted Quality You Can Feel My soaps are not just nourishing for your skin — they’re also environmentally friendly and plastic packaging free! Each bar of soap is handmade in small batches using the traditional cold process method. Every recipe is thoughtfully formulated with skin-loving oils, creamy butters, and luxurious additives, each contributing its own unique attributes. All bars are cured for a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks before shipping. This curing process ensures your soap will last longer, produce a rich, satisfying lather, and simply be an all-around better bar. Discover the Difference with Farmgirl Soapery Whether you're looking for a treat for yourself or a thoughtful gift, explore our online store to find your perfect bar or visit us at local shows-- where everything is Farmgirl Crafted! • Animal Fats | FarmgirlSoapery

Back in the earliest days of soap making, our ancestors used animal fats. Today it still makes for some of the best bars of soap! Animal Fats SHOP Lard - Obtained from hogs. Pork fat has long been used in the soap making industry. It produces a mild, stabilizing & super creamy lather. The properties are very similar to Palm and, with the controversy surrounding Palm oil, Lard is a great alternative! All of our lard is rendered here on the farm but it originates from other local farmers. It really does produce a great bar of soap! Tallow - Obtained from cattle (cows). Beef fat is rendered here on the farm but it originates from other local farmers. Tallow produces a rich, creamy lather that is gently cleansing and wonderful for the skin!
